Suitable for computer devices only and not on mobile. This feature requires a greater than normal computer processing power. Suitable for most gaming machines. We recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox web browser.

Create your own blue universe of flowing particles and deep vortexes. Your movement, picked up by your webcam, causes ripples you can see in the field of particles which dictates their movement. Hold your mouse (or finger) in one place to see the particles gather around it. Turn this feature on or off, depending on the design you want to create!

This exploration of color is turned into a complete audiovisual experience through the music of Mexico-based producer and programmer Paperworks (Eduardo Montero), who also composed music for the ARTECHOUSE NYC Submerge installation.

MORE ABOUT

EXPLORATION OF BLUE

Exploration of Blue was inspired by Submerge, ARTECHOUSE NYC’s February 2020 installation, in which we featured a highly immersive main piece that explored the psychological and emotional properties of the color blue. Created in reference to Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year Classic Blue, Submerge celebrated the healing, calming color blue. Colors have long been known to have psychological, emotional and even physical effects on viewers. Color psychology is the study of this phenomenon, applied in a number of different industries in order to bring about certain responses. Many artists have made use of color's powerful effects, like Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh.

Just as our installation encouraged serenity and stability, we hope that this application’s deep dive into Classic Blue creates feelings of both peacefulness and creativity.
