We are seeking a dynamic individual to be part of the Visitor Experience (VE) team that is the
public face of ARTECHOUSE. VE Hosts act as the ambassadors of ARTECHOUSE and are
responsible for ensuring positive visitor experience as well as the safety of the art and
technology.

PRICIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Act as ARTECHOUSE ambassador to the general public through positive and timely customer
service for all of our visitors both in person and over email.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure positive visitor experience.
• Welcome visitors and deliver an introduction talk to position their experience.
• Ensure the safety of the artwork and other guests by being a vigilant presence on the gallery
floor.
• Maintain a well-informed, working knowledge on the topic of the featured artist(s), installations
on view and the digital medium overall.
• Perform opening, closing and mid-shift duties to ensure a clean and ready space for the
visitors.
• Utilize ticketing software in order to assist guests with ticket purchases, check-in and other
ticketing needs
• Proactively engage with visitors to assist with their experience
• Manage crowd control and visitor traffic flow with the ability to anticipate opportunities to assist
visitors and allow for as smooth an operation as possible
• Educate people about ARTECHOUSE’s mission and current installation
• Embody and exemplify the values of ARTECHOUSE in every interaction with visitors

Visitor Experience Host Washington, DC /New York City /Miami Beach

We’re seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Director of Communications & PR to become a critical member of our team and lead all communication and public relations efforts for ARTECHOUSE’s brand and multi-city locations (NYC, DC, Miami). In this role you will develop and implement marketing and communications strategy to raise awareness for the company, while supporting any overall marketing initiatives for our locations and innovative projects. In fostering media relationships and promoting ARTECHOUSE’s mission and brand you will oversee both domestic and international media campaigns. 

The ideal candidate will bring entrepreneurial ambition, an analytical mindset and a proven track-record of success to strategically position and promote ARTECHOUSE’s unique locations and diverse art programming, all while continually strengthening the connection between a diverse audience and the ARTECHOUSE mission. This role reports directly to the Founders and will closely collaborate with the VP of Locations to ensure success.

  • Envision, design, and implement the strategic plan for company wide communications, embracing traditional and less traditional forms of communication alike and calibrating the right mix of company promotion versus exhibition-specific promotion.
  • Craft and manage forward-thinking strategies for external communications that amplify the innovative mission of the organization and the vision of the founders, while positioning and raising the visibility of the company.

We are creating an exciting new position and are seeking an experienced professional to join our growing team as Deputy/ Director of Curatorial Affairs. This is a key leadership position that will collaborate with the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) and Executive Creative Director to create diverse exhibition programs, foster relationships with a wide range of creatives, and develop forward-looking strategies for engaging a broad audience. Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer (CCO), the Deputy/Director of Curatorial Affairs is responsible for ensuring that the creative direction initiated by the CCO is implemented in all aspects of programming.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a diplomat at heart, you have exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills and a proven track record of exhibition planning from program planning and budgeting to artist relationship management and contract negotiations. You are a natural at curatorial text compilation and research as well as drafting for various department use + facilitating meaningful educational programs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

Administration

  • Responsible for leading the administration, coordination, and successful implementation of all operational aspects of curatorial affairs.
  • Develop and monitor departmental and curatorial budgets, contracts, agreements, NDA, and other administrative documents.
  • Oversea the exhibit collection and archive, including any loaning of the existing programming. 

Exhibition Planning

  • Drive executive group discussions and decision-making around exhibition selection, scheduling, budgets, and marketing while being cognizant of best practices and audience engagement trends.
  • Focus on delivering an engaging series of exhibitions that drive attendance in a financially responsible way across ARTECHOUSE locations.
  • Conceive and shape a distinctive and dynamic exhibition program that advances ARTECHOUSE’s visibility and reputation, and includes exhibitions that travel nationally and internationally to ensure the CCO’s strategic vision is realized. 
  • Develop exhibition and publication materials that convey sophisticated ideas while also appealing to a broad range of visitors and readers; assisting the curatorial team in strengthening writing.
  • Research projects and related educational programs.
  • Support any fundraising and promotion, which may include the writing and reviewing of grant proposals, journal articles, and publicity materials, as well as attendance at meetings, conventions, and civic events.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Digital Team to develop and implement strategies for the exhibitions, on digital platforms.

Artist Relationships

  • Plan and execute on a new artist acquisition strategy.
  • Nurture professional relationships and constantly be on the lookout for new opportunities.
  • Deepen the relationships with our diverse artist roster, as well as developing new relationships with emerging artists across all genres.
  • Plan and execute short-term and long-term artist retention and acquisition strategy.
  • Superintend legal contracts for exhibitions, artist commissions and residencies.
  • Build and maintain a network of professional relationships with artists, curators, critics, and other specialists locally, nationally, and globally.

Project Management

  • Build a detailed exhibition project schedule for each approved exhibition, and oversee project alignment with the master schedule.
  • Manage all contract negotiations with artists and third parties for commissioned and loaned work, and develop and negotiate contracts for traveling exhibitions. Additional contract work may include letters of agreement with other installation artists and creatives as needed or in situations where a standard loan agreement will not suffice.
  • Work closely with artists to become the bridge to the rest of the departments.
  • Develop/maintain rapport with counterparts at peer institutions worldwide, keeping an ear to the content needs. 
  • Work with marketing and PR teams on ensuring that curatorial vision is properly translated in all public materials.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS

  • BA and MA degree in a relevant field or the equivalent education. 
  • 8+ years experience in a leadership level with established arts organizations, including a robust record of important exhibitions.
  • At least 3 years of specialized experience in the art and technology exhibition sector (digital, new media, AR/VR, etc)
  • Passionate for the innovations within the art and technology, digital art, innovative and experiential art
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term while successfully attending to more immediate goals and tasks; natural critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Deputy/Director of Curatorial Affairs Washington, DC /New York City /Remote

As the Director of Beverage & Food, you will have the unique opportunity to refine ARTECHOUSE’s successful innovative bar & beverage program, as well as create one-of-a-kind immersive, multi-sensory, F&B experiences. In this new role you will harmonize the culture, mission, values, and quality standards important to ATH ensuring maximum potential is achieved. This position is responsible for growing, organizing and controlling the day-to-day beverage operations for the ATH bar program across multiple locations. 

ARTECHOUSE is home to the first in the world Extended Reality bar, housed inside the innovative art spaces. Acting as an extension of the exhibitions on view, our XR bar is a core component of the experience, allowing visitors to continue and expand upon the art exploration with multi-sensory cocktails and mocktails activated through our extended reality (XR) mobile app.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Direct and manage the Bar and Beverage Program – including menu development, and cocktail creation for each location and each exhibit.
  • Work with the Creative team to develop and deliver immersive dining experiences.
  • Ensure that the ARTECHOUSE F&B Program enhances the premization of the brand and supports the overall company mission.

  • Ensure the sanitary, health standards and orderly appearance of all physical elements in the F&B area.
  • Assure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently followed.
  • Establish Food and Beverage SOPs including safe food handling standards, cleanliness and safety and ensuring staff is following all food control and safety regulations.
  • Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories and budgets.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and schedule F&B staff.
  • Be present in the service areas at each location, leading delivery of high quality standards and excellent hospitality by example.

  • 2+ years managing product and team across multiple F&B outlets (either same location or multiple locations)
  • Must have a current beverage manager’s license or be able to obtain one

Director of F&B Washington, DC /New York City

FULL TIME

ARTECHOUSE (ATH) is seeking a talented Spatial Architectural Visualization Specialist to join our Production team. Ideal person will be a combination of a Spatial Visual Artist and a 3D Architectural Visualizer and will work closely with the Creative Director(s) to visualize concepts for the exhibition programs and beyond. Putting vision into tangible 3D visualizations that are at times practical and beautiful representations as needed,  you will also collaborate with the senior producers to deliver assets needed for PR, marketing, and other project needs. You will play a vital role in visually communicating the visions of ARTECHOUSE’s upcoming projects. 

In addition to the primary responsibilities, this role will be a part of a larger ARTECHOUSE team working together to promote ARTECHOUSE locally and internationally.

WHO YOU ARE

To be successful as a Spatial Architectural Visualization Specialist you are a master craftsperson and have a track record of creating beautifully crafted boundary pushing work.  You have the expertise in spatial awareness and understanding. You are a curious listener who can visualize new ideas and with a keen eye to detail, space, experience and the right aesthetics.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Visual Development / Concept Art for conceptual spatial design and multi-sensory immersive exhibits 
  • Work with location CADs to build assigned architectural concepts 
  • Create spatial simulation and architectural visualization for case studies (Interior and exterior scenes)

  • Bachelors/Masters in Architecture
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience such as in Architectural Illustration or 3D Artist in immersive architecture

We are is seeking to hire a Social Media & Digital Specialist to join our growing Marketing team. This position will be similar to a community manager.  You will be the ‘voice’ of ARTECHOUSE (ATH) community and play a key role in communicating the vision and mission of our innovative brand to our fans  – commenting as the brand, tweeting, messaging on social media, broadcasting, and engaging with our followers. 

POSITION SUMMARY

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of ARTECHOUSE’s digital communication and community development across social media and business listing platforms. You will work within the Digital Marketing team putting our content out to the world, engaging with all social channels.  Under the supervision and support of the manager, you will serve as the primary front-line communications making our audience experiences memorable online. 

In addition to the primary responsibilities, this role will be a part of a larger team working together to promote ARTECHOUSE locally and internationally.

An ideal candidate will understand and translate the brand tone, is a quick problem solver and clear written and verbal communicator.  They will be very detailed oriented, contribute ideas for content and social engagement – and ideally passionate about art and technology!

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

Social media is an ever-changing field, so although you will have some routine responsibilities, your role is going to require you to adapt slightly every now and then. However, this list should give you a good idea of what your day-to-day obligations will be:

  • Implement ARTECHOUSE’s social media strategy across all digital platforms to boost engagement, visibility and visitations.
  • Maintain a cohesive social media brand voice across social channels by creating and posting content that delivers on our mission to inspire, educate and empower – on sites including (but not limited to): Facebook, Google, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok through both proactive and reactive content – guidance from Manager when needed.
  • Manage day-to-day social listening across social platforms including engaging reactively and proactively on behalf of ATH with the online community ensuring brand voice and timely and high level responsiveness to comments and requests is maintained consistently.
  • Work with Marketing/Production/PR to develop and implement an escalation process for priority posts as well as build a plan for crisis management across social channels.
  • Maintain social media dashboard and corresponding reporting; track metrics and analyze efficacy of campaigns or goals.
  • Prepare social data and post insights to be utilized by the Marketing team in monthly/weekly reports – Share insights from the community to help inform the team’s strategic, creative and paid decision-making.
  • End-to-end management of digital ad buys on platforms (not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, Google/YouTube and TikTok, from the planning, execution and performance analysis stages.
  • Monitor and analyze social media trends, hashtags, influencer engagement, emerging technology and current events to seek out and spearhead opportunities to engage with popular conversations; leading efforts within the team to produce real time content
    • Identify & build ATH’s base of social influencers; engage and amplify brand messaging
    • Create & maintain master list of business and cultural moments and initiatives
    • Create list of accounts and hashtags to follow and engage
  • Develop and execute daily/weekly/monthly content schedule and maintain social media calendar across all relevant platforms and channels.
  • With guidance and oversight, curate, draft, and publish relevant original content
  • Stay current with relevant news, events and trends especially in the arts, digital and technology sector.
  • Manage digital business listings on TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google Business (and others as added), maintaining a cohesive presence across listings, ensuring listings are up to date with the latest assets, exhibit information, operational updates and post updates
  • Manage day-to-day digital marketing activities including website maintenance, content updates, data management, and email marketing.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments on incorporating relevant social media techniques, particularly with our augmented reality application.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS

  • BA/BS in marketing, digital media, journalism, advertising or other related fields
  • 3+ years of professional experience in social media management and digital media production, preferably for arts, music or entertainment fields

Social Media & Digital Specialist Washington, DC /New York City /Miami Beach /Remote

FULL TIME

ARTECHOUSE is looking for a detail-oriented Scenic CAD Drafter to join our Production team. You will be creating technical drawings for exhibition programs, venues, and other structures from architects’ sketches (and/or verbal communication), incorporating exact measurements and codes, and entering data to generate both 2D drawings and 3D design models.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop piping isometric drawings, incorporating engineering design changes/revisions to existing and newly populated CAD drawings, updating and maintaining parts libraries.
  • Develop appropriate detail level design drawings and specifications for scenic design, various A/V and lighting equipment installation, and other design details required for the load in using CAD.
  • Complete on-site measurements and utilize design related computer programs including AutoDesk’s Architecture, Engineering, & Construction collection.
  • Develop and edit CAD drawings for newly acquired facilities, and improve existing facility documentation.
  • Prepare drawings, charts, and records with CAD software and conventional drafting techniques.
  • Visiting locations and external sites as assigned to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the producers, designers, external architects and engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and technologies in relevant technique and design.

WHO YOU ARE

To be successful as a scenic draftsman you should possess excellent knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD), and the ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design. A top-notch CAD draftsperson will be someone whose drafting expertise contributes to structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing spatial and scenic designs dreamed up by the production team.

  • BS/BA or Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) certification preferred
  • Prior experience as an architectural draftsman will be advantageous

This position is a unique combination of project management and strong foundation in architectural engineering; involved from conception to final installation and opening, ensuring solid operational openings of each new location around the nation and beyond.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare strategic execution plans for each site (surveys etc) working directly with the executive team, engineers, and other producers to achieve project goals.
  • Manage and oversee full scope project budgets including; HVAC, daily ops, surface treatments, equipment, acoustics, travel, contractors, vendors, artists, etc.
  • Coordinate the construction, infrastructure engineering, local certifications, and other vendor coordinations to bring the location to realization.

  • Partner with the Production Team to develop plans, technical drawings, and system diagrams.
  • Create and monitor buildout schedules.

  • Oversee all technical drawings being produced/received during venue buildout.
  • Ensure that there is a solid logistics plan for any freight, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory list, and installation plans in collaboration with the producer in charge of the exhibit.
  • Network, recruit, build, and manage relations needed to get the venue opened on schedule with all requirements needed. 
  • Oversee recap and reconcile projects after completion of the event.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare strategic execution plans for each site (surveys etc) working directly with the executive team, engineers, and other producers to achieve project goals.
  • Manage and oversee full scope project budgets including; HVAC, daily ops, surface treatments, equipment, acoustics, travel, contractors, vendors, artists, etc.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare strategic execution plans for each site (surveys etc) working directly with the executive team, engineers, and other producers to achieve project goals.
  • Manage and oversee full scope project budgets including; HVAC, daily ops, surface treatments, equipment, acoustics, travel, contractors, vendors, artists, etc.
  • Coordinate the construction, infrastructure engineering, local certifications, and other vendor coordinations to bring the location to realization.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads & Creative Team to ensure the new venue is equipped with the appropriate rigging, power, surfaces, temperature, etc. to operate the exhibits.
  • Partner with the Production Team to develop plans, technical drawings, and system diagrams.
  • Create and monitor buildout schedules.
  • Work with location managers to ensure all facility and infrastructure requirements are met to support the exhibition.

  • Oversee all technical drawings being produced/received during venue buildout.
  • Ensure that there is a solid logistics plan for any freight, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory list, and installation plans in collaboration with the producer in charge of the exhibit.
