Privacy Policy

At ARTECHOUSE we respect your right to privacy and are committed to protecting your privacy when you visit our website, use our merchant services or use our mobile application (collectively referred to as “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of ARTECHOUSE Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. 

Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.

You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with ARTECHOUSE or using our Site. ARTECHOUSE and its affiliates may share this personal information with each other and use it consistent with this Privacy Policy. We may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products, services, content, and advertising. You are not required to provide the personal information that we have requested, but, if you chose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to any queries you may have.

General Information

You may visit and browse the Site as often as you like without logging in, and in such instances personal information about your visit will not be collected. If you visit Site simply to browse, we may collect general information about the way in which you use the Site, including, but not limited to, the time and duration of visit, type of Web browser used, the operating system/platform you are using, your IP address, any third-party Web sites from which you linked to the Site, and other generic information. ARTECHOUSE also may note whether and how you use the Site by recording traffic patterns and click streams. ARTECHOUSE does not associate this general information that ARTECHOUSE collects with any personal information and ARTECHOUSE does not otherwise monitor this information on an individual basis. Instead, ARTECHOUSE aggregates this usage information and uses it only to identify the levels and areas of interest within the Site and to generally improve and refine the Site and services. The, or third-parties working on behalf of ARTECHOUSE, may perform analyses of visitors; behavior, and may share aggregated, anonymous data with sponsors and third-party partners.

​Online purchases for admission tickets, passes and membership.

ARTECHOUSE uses third-party vendors to administer and process your online purchase of admission tickets, passes and membership to our locations. When you purchase a ticket, pass or membership online, you will be asked to provide information needed to process the purchase. This information includes your name, billing and mailing addresses, telephone number, email address, and credit card information. Your credit card information is collected directly by third-party payment card processors and service providers. We will only retain your personally identifiable information for our records, in order to facilitate better customer service. Though we do not store credit card numbers, our vendors may retain payment information for additional purchases or renewal purposes. We require our vendors to maintain the security of the information which you provide to them and restrict the vendors from using this information in any way not expressly authorized by ARTECHOUSE. 

Anonymity and Credit Cards

You may purchase tickets and remain anonymous if you choose to pay by cash in person at an ARTECHOUSE location. Even if you purchase tickets with a credit card, your credit card information(as defined further herein) will not be disclosed to or shared with another entity. If you wish to keep your e-mail address private when you contact us please contact ARTECHOUSE in-person or in writing.

​Online surveys

From time to time, ARTECHOUSE may invite you to participate in surveys posted on the Site or sent to you by email. You may decide whether you wish to complete such surveys, which may ask about your background, occupation, or similar questions. We use this information to help us better understand our audience, which in turn allows us to better meet your needs and interests. Information collected in these surveys is never sold or rented to third parties for marketing purposes, but we may share it with outside vendors to analyze the information we collect (see “Use of third-party service providers” below).

Online Giveways

ARTECHOUSE may occasionally offer visitors the opportunity to participate in online contests or giveaways. If you choose to enter, you may need to provide your name and email address so that we may contact you in connection with the contest. We may also request that you provide us with certain other information, such as your zip code and state of residence.

Emailing ARTECHOUSE

If you send an email to ARTECHOUSE, your message and email address may be saved and we may send you emails in order to respond to your message. Any material, business information, ideas, concepts, proposals or other information sent to ARTECHOUSE by email will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. We will only use the information provided in your email and your email address to improve ARTECHOUSE website, services, and products, and to fulfill or respond to your requests for products, services, or information.

Financial Information 

ARTECHOUSE will protect any personal financial information that you share with ARTECHOUSE. If you make a purchase online, ARTECHOUSE, or it’s third-party partner, will use your credit card number only to process your payment and will not use it for marketing or demographic purposes. For reasons of security, credit card information is not stored on ARTECHOUSE’s Web Server. ARTECHOUSE will retain order information for its records, but this information is never shared with third-parties, except to the extent compelled by court order.

Personal Information

ARTECHOUSE collects personal information when you submit personal information to ARTECHOUSE, make a purchase, request information on ARTECHOUSE’s products and services, participate in a promotion or an online survey, contact ARTECHOUSE with a question or suggestion, apply for employment with ARTECHOUSE, and when you attend certain special events where heightened security is necessary. Depending on the nature of your interaction with ARTECHOUSE, you may be asked to provide information such as your name, phone number, physical address, ARTECHOUSE-related information, e-mail address, credit card information, including expiration date and billing address, and product preferences. Once you register with ARTECHOUSE and sign in to access ARTECHOUSE’s services, you are no longer anonymous to ARTECHOUSE.

Your Personal Information may be used by ARTECHOUSE (or third-parties engaged by ARTECHOUSE)

to:

  1. Customize the advertising and the content that you see (including, but not limited to use of retargeting and pixels); 
  2. Fulfill your requests for products and services;
  3. Contact you;
  4. Conduct research;
  5. Communicate information pertaining to ARTECHOUSE (for example, schedule changes, traffic advisories);
  6. Send order confirmations;
  7. Update membership information;
  8. Personal information of job applicants;
  9. Respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process;
  10. Establish or exercise ARTECHOUSE’s legal rights or defend against legal claims; and,
  11. Other communications from ARTECHOUSE.

In addition, ARTECHOUSE may provide your name and address or phone number to third-parties whose products and/or services ARTECHOUSE believes may be of interest to you (although ARTECHOUSE does not share any other information about you, the selection criteria may result in the third-party being able to identify your relationship with ARTECHOUSE in a broad manner; i.e., that you are a subscriber or member, or may have attended a particular exhibition). You can request at any time that ARTECHOUSE refrains from sharing your name and address or phone numbers with such third-parties by visiting https://www.artechouse.com/contact. 

ARTECHOUSE does not monitor or control, nor is it responsible for, the privacy policies of third-parties.

We may combine information you give to us online, offline, at our locations, through our app or email. We may also combine or supplement this information with publicly available information and additional information we receive from or have cross-referenced with our third-party vendors and others. We use this combined information to enhance and personalize your experience with us; to communicate with you about products, exhibitions, or events that may be of interest to you; or for other promotional or ARTECHOUSE-related purposes.

Shared Information

Neither E-mail addresses nor mailing address information is ever sold, rented or freely given to any third-party.

In order to manage ARTECHOUSE’s email subscription lists, ARTECHOUSE may retain the names and email address of its email subscribers, as well as other information such subscribers may have shared with ARTECHOUSE (e.g., addresses and phone numbers), logs of emails that ARTECHOUSE sends, and automatically generated email data used to improve ARTECHOUSE’s e-mail communications. This automatically generated email data (generated through simple tools such as “pixel tags” and link redirects) includes:

  • The recipient’s email client;
  • Whether the email was opened;
  • Whether a link in the message was clicked;
  • Whether an email was delivered; and,
  • Whether the email was forwarded; 

If, at any time, you wish to stop receiving ARTECHOUSE’s messages, simply click on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email message.

​You may request to be removed from ARTECHOUSE’s mailing or phone list at any time. In addition, you may edit personal information in your account; specifically, your name, address, phone number, interest preferences and contact preferences through the Site or by contacting ARTECHOUSE by visiting https://www.artechouse.com/contact.

Tracking Technology

Similar to other websites, our servers automatically collect the IP address of your device when you visit the Site, and we may associate that with your domain name or that of your Internet access provider. Our system may also capture certain “clickstream data” pertaining to your Site usage. Clickstream data includes information about computer or device used, Web browser and operating system and their settings, the referring page you used to get to the Site, the pages or content click or see during Site visit and when and for how long you do so, items you download, transactions you complete.

This information enables us to generate analytics reports on the usage of the Site. We rely on Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to do this. To opt out follow the instructions at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Additionally, we may deploy from time to time various tracking technologies on the Site to collect additional information about your Site visits, such as “cookies” and “pixel tags”. These are used to improve the functioning of the site, analyze traffic, improve our content and navigation, enhance our marketing efforts, personalize user experience, and provide online display advertising and/or offline communications tailored to our visitors interests based on an individual’s online behavior. We also use Facebook pixel to help us track conversion from Facebook ads and help optimize ads based on data collected to build targeted audiences.

Location-Based Services

To provide location-based services on our mobile app ARTECHOUSE and our partners and licensees, may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your computer or device. Where available, location-based services may use GPS, Bluetooth, and your IP Address, along with crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower locations, and other technologies to determine your devices’ approximate location. Unless you provide consent, this location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used by ARTECHOUSE and our partners and licensees to provide and location-based products and services. For example, your device may share its geographic location with our mobile application to enable an activation. 

Third-party ad servers and networks

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website and elsewhere online. These third-party ad-serving companies include Google Ad Manager, Facebook, Instagram. We may collect, use, and share personal data from and about you with these entities, to personalize and show ads to you and others on our website and elsewhere online and to measure their impact. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites, the region of the country or world where your IP address indicates you are located, as well as other information about you in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. These companies may employ cookies, pixel tags, and other tracking technologies to cause relevant ads to be displayed to you. By using our website or transacting with us, you agree to this. Please note if you use DNT web settings on your browser, some third parties may not change their tracking practices in response to DNT settings you have, and we do not obligate these parties to honor DNT settings.

The Site may include links to other Web sites. ARTECHOUSE does not control the privacy policies of the destination sites. Once you leave ARTECHOUSE’s servers (you can check where you are by checking the URL in the location bar on your browser), use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the site that you are visiting. That policy may differ from ARTECHOUSE’s. If you can’t find the privacy policy of any of these sites via a link from such a site’s homepage, you should contact the manager of that site for more information. ARTECHOUSE is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of websites other than the Site.

Social media

We maintain an active presence on most social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok and from time to time we also incorporate some third-party social networking features onto our website. Through these platforms and features, we receive some personal information and some usage information about you. This Privacy Policy applies to that information as well. In addition, these third-party social networking platforms have their own privacy policies, which explain how the third parties that provide them will use and protect your information. The information we receive from third parties may depend on the privacy settings you have on the third-party platform.

Comments on Social Media Platforms

ARTECHOUSE is pleased to offer the general community an opportunity to share diverse opinions and varied points of view on ARTECHOUSE’s social media pages – in fact, ARTECHOUSE encourages it. ARTECHOUSE’s goal is to build community through the arts and, as such, ARTECHOUSE requires that all comments follow a few basic standards. Comments that are threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or racist, or otherwise violate the host platform’s terms of service, will be removed. ARTECHOUSE requires that all comments are free from profanity and hate speech. All comments should be relevant to the post and remain respectful of other commenters.

​Use of third-party service providers

From time to time, ARTECHOUSE retains qualified third-party service providers to help us manage the Site and allow us to better serve our visitors, customers and others who contact us. These may include third-party contractors who assist us by processing registration and ticketing for our locations and for certain events and memberships. We also engage third-party vendors to analyze the information we collect on the Site and through other resources for marketing or similar purposes. We also use third-party service providers to process your payment transactions onsite and online. These service providers receive the information you enter into our Site or at our location, and information about your payment card, purchase, mobile device, computer, software and their location, for fraud detection purposes. By submitting your information to make a purchase, you agree to this. ARTECHOUSE requires its vendors to maintain the security of the information to which they are provided access and restricts the vendors from using the information in any way not expressly authorized by ARTECHOUSE.

We may contract with third parties who use cookies, clear gifs, device fingerprinting, and other online tracking technologies to collect information on our behalf. These parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of this information. If you would like to opt out of this use of your information, you can change the preferences of your browser so that it does not accept cookies. We may contract with companies or others to provide certain services, including data management, promotional services, etc. We provide these service providers with the information they need to perform these services, but we restrict the vendors from using the information in any way not expressly authorized by ARTECHOUSE.

We also contract with third-party vendors who process applications for company employment or opportunities to participate in related activities. ARTECHOUSE requires its vendors to maintain the security of this information and restricts the vendors from using the information in any way not expressly authorized by ARTECHOUSE.

Security and Disclaimer

Although ARTECHOUSE uses security that it believes to be appropriate to protect your personal information, ARTECHOUSE does not guarantee that such security precautions will protect against unauthorized third-party access and misuse, and ARTECHOUSE expressly disclaims any liability for, any loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

Be sure to use a known and trusted secure connection and to log off when finished using a shared computer. You should be aware that there is always some risk involved in transmitting information over the Internet. There is also some risk that others could find a way to thwart our security systems. As a result, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security and privacy of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

ARTECHOUSE, from time to time, may update this policy without prior notice. Changes to this policy will be reflected on the Site.
