ARTECH·TALK | Henry Dehlinger | Cosmic Cycles: A Space Symphony
Please join us for ARTECH·TALK, a free series of talks and conversations with NASA scientists, inspired by Beyond the Light at ARTECHOUSE DC.
Composer Henry Dehlinger embarked on a musical collaboration with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and the National Philharmonic, resulting in Cosmic Cycles, A Space Symphony. This orchestral work is an epic suite of seven symphonic poems that is paired with imagery and data visualizations of the Sun, Earth, Moon, Planets, and Cosmos, many of them from the James Webb Space Telescope.
Dehlinger’s creative collaboration will be a wonderful contrast to the exhibition Beyond the Light, with its original score by Mehmet Ünal, and the conversation will explore the differences in approach and inspiration in turning the data of our universe into art.
