SUBMERGE ARTIST PROFILE

How do you dream?

Blake Kathryn, 2024

A frozen sky. A changing room. The passing of time.

On view as part of ARTECHOUSE NYC’s SUBMERGE exhibition, How Do You Dream, a work of spatial design, reflects on the passage of time from our waking and subconscious selves.

The sky, seemingly frozen, only changes through the solar ritual each day promises. Contrastingly, the room the viewer finds themself within perpetually establishes time’s passage through subtle movement. This piece invites the viewer to reflect on how and when they are truly present.
