‘Sketch’ Your Own Cocktail at Home
In our Washington D.C. and New York locations, we house an augmented reality bar in addition to our 21st-century art installations and exhibits. Each cocktail and mocktail list is built around the show on display at the time, using ingredients, glassware, and augmented reality that aligns with the show.
During Future Sketches, visitors could "sketch" their own cocktails by choosing one option from a number of categories, allowing for a large number of possible combinations to fit their personal tastes.
This process was inspired by the idea of components and choices coming together to create a final product, much like Lieberman's code comes together to create his beautiful installations. Alongside the sketched drink, there were five different augmented reality activations that can be paired with the drinks.
For instance, visitors could request a “clear spirit and spicy flavor” profile, which would then create a riff on Mexican street corn in a glass made with Cholula, Tajin, sweet corn, peaches, lime, agave, and El Silencio mezcal.
