“When thinking about our Holiday show this year, we kept going back to the fact that in 2024, society is in a uniquely heightened state of anxiety, a condition fueled by multiple intersecting factors” shared Sandro Kereselidze, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of ARTECHOUSE, “ASMR felt like an ideal theme for this holiday season because it helps people ‘unplug’ while still engaging with digital media. It offers up seasonal spirit, but also, refreshingly,  the sensory escape people crave, allowing them to disconnect from external chaos while finding comfort in immersive sound and visuals. Think of it as your ultimate holiday retreat.”

WHAT IS ASMR?

ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a soothing sensory experience often described as a gentle tingling sensation that begins in the head and can extend down the neck and spine, triggered by soft sounds or visual stimuli. Though not everyone experiences the physical tingling, ASMR content is designed to promote a sense of calm and relaxation, which is perfect for the frenzy of the Holidays.

The quiet sounds of whispering, tapping, or delicate movements offer a peaceful escape, allowing the mind and body to unwind. Even without the signature sensation, many find ASMR a deeply calming way to soothe the senses and ease into a state of tranquility.
